As a keen ICT integrator, you want to further their literacy development using the computer and plan to use the software Microsoft Word to do this.

If you are to integrate ICT effectively into the curriculum, you will need a good understanding of ICT concepts and their relation to the other areas of the curriculum. In addtion, research shows that "the extent to which ICT was used effectively to support the development of literacy depended to a large extent on the teacher's own personal capabilities in ICT and literacy" (Kennewell et al., 2000, p. 106).
